Day of Play at FRCCF
The children who attend the FRCCF community centres will learn from traditional craftsmen how to make traditional toys out of corn husks, beads and wood. The toys will be exhibited at London in November.
Based on an EveryChild UK idea, FRCCF's British partner, Day of Play was immediately embraced by all children . On July 21 st and 22 nd , three traditional craftsmen will teach the playful children how to make toys out of beads, corn husks and wood.
All three workshops will be hosted by the FRCCF community centres. The best toys made by the children will be sent to London and included in an exhibition of traditional toys made by children from over 15 countries. The exhibition will take place in November to mark the Universal Children's Day.
ay of Play is just one of the activities that FRCCF has in mind for children during this summer holiday. Apart from this, at the community centres, the children can take part in various workshops (arts, dance, drama, and others), in sporting events and outdoor activities.
