Take Pictures of Childhood!

On Universal Children's Day, FRCCF and Cluj County School Inspectorate will organise a photo competition for all the children in town.

The theme of this competition, held from 20 October to 10 November 2007 , is childhood . The children will have to take pictures of something that according to them illustrates childhood. The photographs can be sent by e-mail at concurs@frccf.org.ro or by post at FRCCF office, 6 Rene Descartes Street , Cluj-Napoca .

Mihai Bota, a professional photographer, will be one of the jury members, and the best pictures illustrating childhood will be displayed in an exhibition at the National Museum of Art from Cluj on 22 November. The exhibition is just one of the events that FRCCF organises for its 10 th anniversary.

On the Universal Children's Day, the 20 th of November, FRCCF will launch balloons from Matei Corvin Square as a way of getting children's rights and messages across to the community of Cluj. All children from Cluj will have the chance to write or draw what they want about their rights on thousands of balloons to be launched that very day. This way, FRCCF wants to remind once more to the people from Cluj that children are important and that they need to be supported in order to be able to grow and reach their fullest potential in a safe environment.
