Following the children in Cluj-Napoca and Copaceni, school children from Tureni will be trained to become entrepreneurs

In the year 2007, 11 teenagers from disfavoured families based in Cluj learned how to start their own business. During the summer holiday, 12 children from Copaceni exercised on entrepreneurship and it's now the turn of the children in Tureni to learn how to seek employment, to manage their money and to start a small business. The I Want to Become an Entrepreneur project is implemented by FRCCF with the finnacial support of the Transilvania Highway Project.

In 2007, 11 teenagers from vulnerable families based in Cluj-Napoca attended the entrepreneurship classes. They discovered their skills and learned how to seek employment and at the end of the course they started a small business. They made and sold 2200 Christmas cards to different companies. They got sponsorship to print out their cards and they made a 7700 lei profit.

In 2008, 12 teeanagers from the village of Copaceni, Cluj county attended the project. Although in an environment with limited possibilities, their business, PHOTO Expres, was a sucess. In thier first day at school they took more than 100 pictures to their classmates, teachers and parents. The rate of the profit was almost 100% that is 100 lei.

And because the results met the expectations, during this fall the I Want to Become an Entrepreneur project will be run in Tureni, with a number of 15 children. The local school is attended by 176 children of whom 32 are aged between 13-15, the right age to receive education on entrepreneurship. The classes will be sustained by Denis and Psihoselect foundations as it was the case with the previous locations.
