20 children from Tureni, ready to start a small business

The number of children and teenagers who learned how to seek employment, to manage their personal money and to start a small business is up to 43. The I want to be entrepreneur project has reached the end of the third stage, which took place in the village of Tureni.

During the festivities attended by representatives of all the institutions involved in the project, 20 children from the Tureni school were awarded prizes. They received diplomas and money depending on their degree of involvement in the project and the amount of knowledge they gained and that will be implemented in the day-to-day life.

After they have learned to seek employment and to manage family money, the 20 children drew a business plan and started a small businesses. Following the examples of the children in the village of Copaceni, they implemented a business where the children took pictures of their school mates and of the village people. After that, they worked on the pictures according to their customers' wishes, printed their photos, sold them and obtained a profit rate of over 100 percent

For promoting their business well, the young entrepreneurs took 200 pictures and gained 600 RON. This amount will be saved in a fund that will, in the future, allow vulnerable children to have access to entrepreneurial education.

The same as in Cluj and Copaceni, the Tureni session of entrepreneurial classes were funded through the Transilvania Highway Project and supported by Psihoselect and Danis Foundation.
