1 st of June 2007 – All Children Out To Play!

The children from Cluj, Cîmpia Turzii, Oradea , Satu Mare, Gherta Mica, Domanesti and Popesti had a wonderful time for the Universal Children's Day. FRCCF celebrated 1 st of June in all its project locations.

At Cluj, the Foundation organized the fifth edition of JOOnior Park – A New Kind of Fun . Just like previous years, the children were celebrated for a whole day in the Central Park of the town. On Saturday, 2 nd of June, from 10.00 to 19.00 hours, the children of all ages had dozens of games and contests, music, drama, dance, karaoke, raffle to choose from as well as hundreds of prizes to win. They played all day long, they had crazy hairdos done and their face painted at a face painting "salon". Moreover, the children competed against each other in over 20 contests: from reciting poetry to dancing, basketball, football, cardboard drawing and water bicycle race.

"Following an already long tradition, FRCCF organized an event for the children of Cluj this year as well. The fifth edition of JOOnior Park managed to bring together all the children from this town, generous sponsors, local authorities and institutions, local media and outstanding volunteers. They all chose to join the small ones and live at least for one day the joy of being children", says Mihai-Florin Rosca, the executive director of the Romanian Foundation for Children, Community and Family. JOOnior Park 2007 was supported by UNIMET CUG, as an official sponsor. Other generous sponsors like BRD Group Société Générale, Logo Design, Peak Toys, Maros Bike and Rondocarton made this event possible. The media partners were Radio Impuls, Clujeanul, Ziarul Clujeanului, Kronika, 24 FUN and ProTV Cluj.

At Oradea , FRCCF organised Children's Day at Lotus Market. Here as well, the children of the town played all day long and took part in many contests with lots of prizes. The event was supported by Benevenutti, BRD Group Société Générale and Fenster Style.

The party went on with shows and outdoor games in Cîmpia Turzii, Popesti, Domanesti and Gherta Mica.
